Chicken Satay

"Satays comes in a wide variety of flavors. You can make it with beef, chicken, or pork. Ours is a family recipes that is easy to do and is especially nice with chicken thighs. You can us chicken breasts but it tend to be less moist compared to the chicken thigh meat."


  • 16 oz of boneless skinless chicken thighs

  • 2 tbs of Curry Fresh curry paste (yellow in this case)

  • 1 tsp of salt

  • 1 tsp of sugar

  • 1 tsp of turmeric powder

  • 1/2 cup of coconut cream (or coconut milk)

Preparation & Cooking Steps

  • Slice chicken into strips

  • Mix coconut cream, curry paste, salt, turmeric &  sugar in a bowl

  • Marinade chicken strips in the mixture for 10 minutes refrigerated

  • Thread chicken strips onto skewers

  • Grill over medium heat for several minutes on each side.

"For this recipe the turmeric gives the satay a golden yellow color.  If you are using the green or red Curry Fresh, the turmeric is not necessary. This satay recipe is very popular at our tasting demos and food festivals.  Kids especially love it."
