Masala Sauce

Serve with roti paratha or add grilled chicken to create an easy chicken tikka masala. Servings: 4




Ingredients

  • Oil / butter / ghee

  • 1/2 cup finely diced white onion

  • 2 tbs fresh ginger (minced)

  • 2 tbs fresh garlic (minced)

  • 6 tbs tomato paste

  • 4 tbs CurryFresh masala paste

  • 1 cup water

  • 1.5 cup half & half

  • Salt & Sugar to taste


Directions

  • Pre-heat sauce pan to medium/high

  • Add cooking oil or butter or ghee

  • Add ginger and garlic and stir until fragrant

  • Add the finely diced onion and stir until partially cooked

  • Add 6 tbs of tomato paste and 4 tbs of CurryFresh masala paste

  • Stir the paste and mix everything together

  • Add 1 cup of water and mix well

  • Add salt & sugar to taste

  • Add 1.5 cup of half & half

  • Taste & make adjustments as necessary

  • Bring to simmer, then serve

  • Garnish with some herbs of your choice
